HOW TO TOUCH A GIRL

I think I could like you
I already do
Feelings can grow but
They can go away too
You're takin my hand
Lookin into my eyes
Don't be in a rush to
Get me tonight

Feel somethin happenin
Could this be a spark?
To satisfy me baby
Gotta satisfy my heart

Do you know how to touch a girl?
If you want me so much
First I have to know
Are you thoughtful and kind?
Do you care what's on my mind?
Or am I just for show?
You'll go far in this world
If you know how to touch a girl

I think I could like you
But I keep holding back
Cause I can't seem to tell
If you're fiction or fact
Show me you can laugh
Show me you can cry
Show me who you really are
Deep down inside

Do you feel somethin happenin?
Could this be for real?
I don't know right now but tonight we'll reveal

Bring me some flowers
Conversation for hours
To see if we really connect
And baby if we do
Ooh I'll be givin all my love to you
Ohh

Do you know how to touch a girl?
If you want me so much
First I have to know
Are you thoughtful and kind?
Do you care what's on my mind?
Or am I just for show?
You'll go far in this world
If you know how to touch a girl

You'll go far in this world
If you know how to touch a girl

An Empty Desk

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more. We live only once in this world, and living it perfectly is impossible but one can always live his life to the fullest.Fulfillment may mean differently from each of us.A parent’s fulfillment in life is to grow a mature person in his child. For a student, fulfillment is equated into learning. For a teacher, fulfillment is achieved when the knowing it had rendered to his students is being applied and the willingness of that student is done. Teachers are one of the most, I say the heroes of the world. These people gives life more than what it deserves, By molding different successful people.

Last, January 2007, my school gave me the chance to mold a school of success people.
It was a different experience. I just get used to the feeling of being a student. That experience is a memorable part of my life, simply because it taught me to appreciate a teacher’s hard work. I never taught that being a teacher for 35 students in a classroom is hard. When teachers teach us at our classroom they seemed jus to be doing an ordinary talk, an ordinary discussion, no sweat. But when that job was handed into my hands I had realized that there is no easy way of becoming a teacher. There’s more than time management, pressure and families. I even felt s o busy at that time though the job was not completely given to me. My job was still being assisted. But these people do their job without the assistance of older people. I just wonder if how do they do it. Are they super heroes with super powers. Well, maybe, they have their power of passion and willingness to help others.

I think I have realized that one must do everything while he can still do it.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This is now my last entry for my blog, my last entry that is to graded. Surely I will miss all the crammings I had in achieving 26 entries, with a lot of things to be done. This is an unforgettable requirement for a certain subject. It is practically because English is not the only existing subject in the school that is also requiring projects. I am proud that such elephant in my shoulder has finally find its res t in the ground. Luckily, I did not have to carry the elephant all b y myself. There were many others who have contribute d in many ways to make this 26 blog entries an achievement. I would like to thank each of the m.

First I would like to thank , M r.Elmer Montejo, our second semester English teacher for letting us feel this w ay. This project did really challenge my whole being. For a person like me, w hose talent does not lie in writing, such requirement is really a good ground for my practice. I would like to thank him for being such a wonderful teacher to all of us. It is just uncomforting to know that you have been our teacher for only a moment, but we give you a guarantee that your teachings to us will remain forever.

Thank you also to my parents who have a very timely support for me. Thanks for disconnecting our Internet line by the time these blog projects were demanded unto us. Seriously, thank you for supporting my wicked ideas and for praising them though I know how deeply disgusted you are to my grammar. But I just want to remind you that intelligence is hereditary.

Next in line is my brother who have been my “topic-giver”. You do really have great topics but I don’t have ggreat ideas. I just wanna thank you for always contradicting mom’s praises to my works. Thanks for your honesty.

I would also like to thank my friends who are like , did also struggle in their 26 bog entries. Thanks for your cooperation.

A special thanks t o Doanne Lyre Montecastro and Daisy Ran Pacaldo for including me in their topics.

Lastly, I want to thank God Almighty for I know that he had been my number one supporter.
A COLORFUL FESTIVAL

People often interpret festival as government’s way of promoting tourism. Partly yes, but behind this tourism promotion, lies the talent, hardwork and the creativity of it’s people showcasing to the whole world the rich history a place can have. Our country has a lot of this to offer. We have the talents, hardwork, creativity and most of all we have a rich history of our beginning. Sinulog, a colorful festival presenting how the Spaniards brought Christianity to Cebu is an example of this. So as the Ati- atihan in Kalibu, Aklan, the Kadayawan festival in Davao, and the Dinagat festival in Cordova, Cebu. All of these festivals show the diversity of talents of the Filipino people offering their thanks to their patrons but there’s this one place in Cebu that has a different purpose for having their festival. Mandaue City, the “Emerging Convention City in Asia” celebrates a festival that offers a different purpose.

Mandauehanons take pride in presenting to the whole world their Mantawi Festival. This is celebrated annually not only by the Mandauehanons but also of the rest of the world. People from different places find their way to Cebu to join the festive mood of Mandaue during the festival. It showcases not only the creativity of the mandauehanons but also the beauty and intelligence mandauehanon ladies possess’ through Ms. Mandaue.
LONELINESS

It is definitely true that nobody w ants to be lonely. Who would want to live a life of loneliness. As the saying goes “no man is an island”. NO man will truly survive all by himself. He will always need somebody. Even our supreme creator, he created another living creature that could help the man. As based simply on what I can view from this poem, loneliness is indeed a lonely word.

From the poem I have realized that letters alone cannot give you the real meaning of a message . That letters with no definite construction will give you nothing but loneliness. Imagine yourself in this kind of situation. Imagine yourself as one of the letters in that poem which cannot give it’s purpose because of it’s loneliness. Could you call that a life. That is actually misery.

I can say that living alone will really be a miserable thing to do. You have no one to communicate to except yourself. You have no one to interact to but your self. No one except loneliness.
The Look

Strephon kissed me in the spring,
Robin in the fall,
But Colin only looked at me
And never kissed at all.

Strephon’s kiss was lost in jest,
Robin’s lost in play,
But the kiss in Colin’s eyes
Haunts me night and day.

-- Sara Teasdale

Kisses can be easily come across but the power of eyes is so much more passionate. I think that is the message of the poem. The poem proves that the eyes are indeed a window to somebody’s soul. In the poem, one can say how powerful the eyes can be. Eyes can be deceiving and it can also give us truthfulness. It is of no question why it is considered as a human’s window of soul. The e yes are the only bod y part that can show emotions. When somebody is sad, one can look into the eyes of that sad person and without even asking that person you will know that he is sad. The eyes can also be very deceiving. You may think that the person true to you because of his looks but regrets will just come ahead, too late for you to realize that you have just been deceived. In the poem the woman was seemed to be much awed to the look that Colin had given her. Colin’s look lasted in her mind longer than the kisses that Stephron a and Robin gave to her. Kisses are truly a passionate way of expressing love but looks is a lot more passionate because it gives woman the affirmation that they a re respected .
Looks can also be different in different persons point of view. One may see a different view from what one sees. But looks do not gie it’s value in that way. It existed so that we can communicate and understand each other in a much better way.
LOVE: AN ACT OF THE WILL , NOT OF THE HEART

A famous poet had once said that, “To say that you can love one person all your life is just like saying that that one candle will continue burning as long as you live”. That poet created such a tricky quote. Note that in his quote the word “can” existed. A three letter word that could change the quote’s meaning. For me that quote proved to me that love is always a choice, a product of one’s will.

I always believe that real love is fated. That it has been arranged before time. That real love is the most meticulously prepared of coincidences. But this does not mean that you do not have control of your of your love life. Of course you have for we choose our own destiny, cause if we don’t then life would not be worth living for.Life is a matter of choice and love is life’s most colorful part. Therefore love is not just fated, it is also a matter of choice. Same as we ca n always choose your own destiny.Choosing our own destiny will surely teach us whom to love. Only fools can say that love is an uncontrollable feeling. Of course you can always control love. You can even choose to love a person or not. If you think you like a person but you feel that something is holding you back, you can always hold back your feelings.
I deeply believe that love is an act of the will and that a ll aper son must do is just to trust in the Lord with our hearts and lean not on our own understanding;in all our ways acknowledge him and he will make our paths straight.
